VISUAL SOUND (2007/08)

MUSICA EXPERIMENTO presenta a Roma Visual Sound 2007/8, opere video di 34 media-artists internazionali affermati ed emergenti, già presentate in musei, istituzioni e festival di oltre 15 paesi nel mondo, quali National Museum / WRO-Festival 07, Wroclaw - Poland, Goethe Institute,

Dakar - Senegal, Luigi Pecci Museum for Contemporary Art – Prato.

(Excerpt VS) Appendix3/Automata, LED displays, Ljubljana, Slovenia
(In progress 2007): Kuenstlerverein Malkasten, Duesseldorf, Germany

The Visual Sound 2007 theme has been truck upon at a time when new media products multifunctional mobile telephones, acoustic signals for consumer durables, advertising display screens in public spaces, etc., inundating the environment with noise and images, are changing perceived definitions of melody, music and acoustic perception itself.  In the current video works, socially critical contributions prevail some of which also focus on the issue of war. Not only here, the artists succeed as if by second nature in letting their experimental, visually and sound oriented pieces refer their public back to existential questions of what and how we are.
